The North American release date is TBC but should be no more than a couple of weeks after the European date. We’ll post that info as soon as we know.

This is a release that’s specially intended for VNV Nation fans. It will come in the form of a 3-disc, high quality boxset containing; a 12 track live CD, a 12 track CD of remixes, rare or previously unreleased material, a DVD with 8 video edits put together by different people between 2005-2008, and a book of live images as well as a wealth of information about the tracks themselves. The Box Set will be limited to 18,000 copies worldwide (9,000 copies with a PAL format DVD for Europe and 9,000 copies with an NTSC format DVD for North America).

ANACHRON AMERICA : We are very proud to announce the creation of our own North American label. We’ve been working on this idea for a while now and have known for some time that this was the next step we wanted to take. In its current climate, the music industry affords artists lots of new opportunities and innovative ideas to release their music and it’s a situation that we felt we should take advantage of. We don’t want to change what we’ve been doing so far. We want to build on it. The new label is a collaboration with Channel Zero, who bring a wealth of experience with alternative music, an energy and enthusiasm that fits with our own, as well as the know-how to turn our ideas into reality without affecting or sacrificing the spirit in which we do things and our loyalty to the people who love our music. With this move, our aim is to continue doing what we have always done best but, with a great organisation behind us, to do it better and to take it further than we have been able to, with complete independence and complete control over how our music is released and promoted. Reformation 1 will be the first release on Anachron America, to inaugurate the label.

Purging contains eight tracks, five brand new recordings and three remixes selected from the recent Godless remix competition.

The new recordings reflect the end of one era for the band, an expulsion of bile, bitterness and anger, reflecting both life changing personal events and the doom/gloom of recent happenings home and abroad.
Towards the beginning of my career in Nine Inch Nails, our biggest break came in the form of an invitation to perform a series of shows with Jane’s Addiction. These performances essentially created and defined the term “alternative” rock in the US, created an ongoing festival franchise that is still thriving (Lollapalooza), set the stage for Nirvana to shift popular taste a few months later, and were really fucking FUN to play and attend - truly the best times I’ve had. The shows were epic. So epic, they propelled NIN to the “next level” (whatever that means), but caused Jane’s to implode. The band broke up at the end of that tour.

Fast forward to the present. Corporate rock STILL sucks. A friend tells me they saw the original Jane’s lineup play a tiny show in LA that was unbelievable. I break out my Jane’s records and am amazed by how vital they sound. These guys were the real deal and in this current climate mostly dominated by poseurs and pussies it was refreshing to hear something that sounded dangerous, volatile, beautiful and SINCERE.Emails were sent, phone calls were made, dinner was arranged, ideas were discussed and the next thing I know we’re in the studio experimenting. We laugh, we get to know each other, we cry, we yell, we almost quit, we record LOTS of guitar solos, we discuss, we actually begin to all communicate, we yell some more, we become FRIENDS, we laugh again and we do some great things. I get to see first hand why they broke up all those years ago but I also get the chance to see four distinct personalities that become an INCREDIBLE band when they’re in the same room.

In NIN world, 2009 marks the 20th anniversary of our first releases. I’ve been thinking for some time now it’s time to make NIN disappear for a while. Last year’s “Lights in the Sky” tour was something I’m quite proud of and seems like the culmination of what I could pull off in terms of an elaborate production. It was also quite difficult to pull off technically and physically night after night and left us all a bit dazed. After some thought, we decided to book a last run of shows across the globe this year. The approach to these shows is quite different from last year - much more raw, spontaneous and less scripted. Fun for us and a different way for you to see us and wave goodbye. I reached out to Jane’s to see if they’d want to join us across the US and we all felt it could be a great thing. Will it work? Will it resonate in the marketplace? Who knows. Are there big record label marketing dollars to convince you to attend? Nope. Does it feel right to us and does it seem like it will be fun for us and you? Yes it does. Look for tour dates soon and I hope to see you out there.

It has been produced by Chai Deveraux (known as the guitarist of the industrial-glam-rock-band Jesus on Extasy) and Hahn&Hahn, a team which has already worked with acts like Nena, Kim Wilde and the Farmer Boys.

The first full-length album is one of the milestones in every young band’s career. In this effect a lot of heart, soul, sweat and tears have been put into every aspect of the production. ‘the most beautiful tales end sadly’, for example, features not only a contrabass, but also a guest pianist and vocalist, Leandra. The songs as a whole are diverse – in between a goodbye kiss and a kick in the ass - but also follow a clear, straight line: emotions instead of academics, catchiness, rock’n'roll instead of arty gimmicks. Or, as the band themselves put it: “And even if we’d been struck by lightning the very next day, we’d have known that we’d put everything into that record we’d had to offer and left a legacy to be proud of! These could indeed be our ‘famous last songs’.“

the pussybats want to give something special for their fans. So, by buying the record you’ll also gain access to an exclusive website packed with bonus content. A new music video is in production and is going on air at the beginning of 2009 – the song ‘your woman’ is a cover of the mid 90ies hit from White Town.

the pussybats. roy rock (guitar), sid van sin (vocals, guitar), mike night (drums) and marple 8 (bass). Alternative rock. More precisely? Come on, anything is rock’n'roll somehow, isn’t it? Shoudn’t there be some emotion in everything? And aren’t the most beautiful tales always the sad ones?
After listening to the debut album ‘famous last songs’, all those questions are obsolete anyway, you’ll get drawn into the music without any chance to escape. That’s the moment when you’ll understand the album’s title: Those are songs worth dying for! The four guys from Stuttgart have emancipated themselves from their influences - going from Johnny Cash to Placebo, the Backyard Babies and Motörhead – and finally found their very self, their own style and sound. Rock riffs, catchy melodies, emotion and melancholy melt into a soul-touching entity. Songs like a rollercoaster ride between a goodbye kiss and a kick in your ass. A voice that’s gonna haunt your dreams. And last but not least, thrilling live shows packed with loads of blood, sweat, tears and entertainment.

Starting in 2006, they already managed to gain some attention and gather a constantly growing fanbase – but now they’re off to hit it big time. It hasn’t been easy since and the real challanges are yet to come. However, the flame still burns, the will to keep going is stronger than ever.

The magic is on – so let the show begin!
